FREE TASTER / FUNDAMENTALS COURSE (AKA ‘ON RAMP’)

So, you are interested in joining and want to become a member? Well, first you will have to complete the Fundamentals Course (On Ramp). This course is designed to cover the basic principles of CrossFit.
The course is broken down into around 4 hours and runs on a Sunday & will give you the chance to complete the 9 fundamental movements of CrossFit & will cover some Gymnastics & Olympic weightlifting movements.

The course is also a time to get to know the coaches, meet other like minded people & help you find the right exercise progressions, when starting the classes. All parts are compulsory & need to be completed before starting.

PART 1 – SQUATS

The first part of session will see us focus on the Squat series & including the following;
  • Introduction & Tour
  • Air Squat
  • Front Squat
  • Overhead Squat

PART 2 – PUSHING

The second part of the session will see us focus on Push series & will cover a series of ‘push’ exercises, including the following;
  • Strict Press
  • Push Press
  • Push (Power) Jerk
  • Thruster

PART 3 – PULLING

The last part of the day will be our ‘pull’ series, including the following;
  • Deadlift
  • Sumo Deadlift High Pull
  • Medicine Ball Cleans
  • Kettlebell Swings
  • Box Jumps

PART 4 – Olympic Lifts & Gymnastics

This part on the On Ramp, you will be introduce to Olympic Lifting & Gymnastics & will cover the following;
  • Snatch (Power and Squat)
  • Clean (Power and Squat)
  • Pullups (incl. Kipping)
  • Press ups
  • Ring Dips
  • Toes to Bar
  • Handstand Push ups
  • Rope Climbs
